Asian Gallery Internship

                                      Bundy Museum Internship Opportunity

The Bundy Museum, which operates as a not-for-profit Victorian museum and art gallery, is offering a valuable opportunity to undergraduate or graduate students interested in working with the museum’s renowned Asian vintage ceremonial art gallery, “Asian Expressions.”  Four hours of undergraduate credit are available for Binghamton University students, as well as non-credit internships and volunteer positions.

These students will be responsible for researching, cataloging, and writing descriptive pieces for museum visitors about the individual pieces in the collection, for promoting the gallery to the community, coordinating and participating in any special tours or programming regarding the gallery, and attending and providing feedback at Bundy Museum meetings.  This internship will provide the student with experience in research, project management, educational outreach, and working independently, all highly valued by employers, in addition to a letter of recommendation from the director and important contacts within the Southern Tier business community.

If receiving one or two undergraduate credits, the student will be required to give 60-120 hours over the course of the semester and will be evaluated at the end of the term. This internship is ideal for Art History, History, Asian Studies majors, or anyone with a strong interest in Asian art and history who desires to learn more.

Interested students can contact Rhonda at
