Victorian Tea Parties

In an age of modesty and propriety, games simultaneously upheld these standards and teetered on scandal.

From simple parlor games to manufactured board games, the individual encountered choices that promised delight and moral instruction in each move he or she made.

The Bundy Arts and Victorian Museum is pleased to invite you to travel back over a century ago.  Join us for tea and games, for an interactive demonstration of nineteenth- century American pastimes.

Featured games included: Mansion of Happiness, Checkered Game of Life, backgammon, and assorted Victorian card games.
