Seize the Night by Abraham Thomas

Artist Statement:
The tools an artist uses are only limited by the artist’s imagination. I chose to use a camera and music for my art. I love playing music while taking photos as well as doing my final edits. My first camera was a gift from my loving parents who instilled in me that I could do anything I dreamed of if I put my heart into it. Music gave me the inspiration to create not just a photo but to create art. Since the start of my journey in 2013 with the love and support of my loving wife Julie I have taken my photography from just a photo to a work of art. With trial and error of different styles of editing I have learned there are unlimited ways to bring life to a photo. I give a heartfelt thank you to the models who spent countless hours collaborating with me to create the art in this series. Your support is very much appreciated. Thank you to Angela Cook for seeing something special in my art and inviting me to show it. I hope you “Break the Chains of Imagination. Come with Me and Seize the Night.” To Meatloaf whose music and song “Seize the Night” helped inspire my art.

Wherever I May Roam by Julie Ayn

Artist Statement:
Over 5 years ago, I came out of the shadows and walls of confined artistic freedom by placing a camera in one hand and feet firmly planted on the ground. It was nature’s giving canvas that gave me a world of endless possibilities, ideas, concepts, and numerous textures that I simply could not resist capturing. Road tripping to various locations to explore unknown destinations filled with an Eden of colorful pallets and lush surroundings filling my camera. My mind, spirit, and soul began to evolve in turn creating photos telling visual stories where words failed. Wherever I may roam inspires and touches me to hold a deeper appreciation of nature’s true beauty. This exhibit is dedicated to my Father Arthur Joseph.

Artist Biography:
Julie Ayn is a native Broome County Photographer. Known for her traditional style photography. She is a self-taught hands-on photographer. With the guidance of her loving husband Tom, she has created a love of nature photography that she shares. This is her 1st exhibit at The Bundy Museum. She hopes to share her journey with others through her photos.

Seasons by Samantha Morris

Artist Statement:
I have had a love for photography since childhood and chose it as my art form for the Serious Moonlight exhibit. My specialties in photography are structures, nature and now my three beautiful children. I’ve titled this collection Seasons because I find beauty in each. I love seizing the opportunity to shoot a snowflake in its perfect, unique form; insects going about their daily life or structures in just the right lighting, angle or shadow.
