What is the value of art?

Do squirrels understand the finer points of particle physics? What did you have for lunch yesterday? I had breakfast. My puppy is asleep right now and she is so adorable! How do we place a value on something that is a part of an artist's soul? We don't. We place value on how it resonates with ours. We look at art and what we see is not what the artist intended. Art is only art when it speaks to us, personally. So when we place a value on art, we are telling the artist how much of our soul they've touched…

Rubbish opens First Friday, November 5th, 2021, in the 3rd floor art gallery.
- the opening reception will include live painting and will be live streamed on Twitch.tv/AmarAstarjk
